Here are a few things I'm worried about while working out:
- Keeping my abs tight
- Pushing myself so that I don't stop too soon
- Knowing if I should push myself or not
- Relaxing my shoulders so that I'm using the appropriate muscels
- Squeezing my butt
- Form form form!
- Is this working the muscle I think it is?
- Did I eat enough not to feel like I'm passing out
- Shit! My *you name any part* hurts from my last workout....that's good. Right
- Shit! My shoulder is pulling. Is it pinching or stretching? Is it good or bad? Should I see the physio again or is that normal?
Getting back into something, even when you've had the opportunity to train with someone, is daunting.
Yesterday CC and I did a new ab workout, we soon discovered that we need to strengthen our lower backs as well as our abs. There are two sides to everything people!! Don't just focus on the head; keep your mind on the tail too!
I've downloaded a new app (thank you Kara) called Strava Run. It is like a new version of Nike Run, without all the required expense.
So, in addition to going to the gym, climbing and ab sessions, I'm excited to add this new element to my working out. I'm happy to say that I am seeing progress. Small progress, but hey, progress is progress!
Now, off to run!
